That means I absolve any responsibility you may feel over my happiness. Your duties as a parent are over. And if that wasn't clear enough, I have no interest in being part of any family.
But I guess I'll admit calling you a fool might not have been the correct thing to say nor should I have told you what to do.
I believe it's important for you to think over your words and realize how hurtful they might seem to others before you speak. I am fortunate in that I'm able to imagine reasons for you saying such things but it's possible that other people with whom you interact won't.
[It isn't the first time anyone has spoken to him about the way he expresses himself. Usually though those conversations turned unpleasant quickly. It is surprising that Macau spoke to him in such a manner. It even reminded him of someone, which might be why he feels some inclination to listen.]
